Changing it up…

Good is the opposite of great, and there is very little growth without discomfort. These lines pretty much sum up the way things work for my body when I stick with a workout system or  exercise plan for too long. I think it’s an error that many people make. You have to know when to make the changes needed to find success.

So many people go to the gym and run through the same motions every time. This will work for a little while, but your body goes through something known as General Adaptation Syndrome, which means that your body gets used to what you’re doing and your gains will lessen with each further workout past this point. Your muscle have become too accustomed to the exercise being done.

It’s easy to continue to do the same thing day after day. Fight this ease as well as the notion that what you are doing is bulletproof, and always works. Switching your focus can be a slow, grinding process. It can bring nervous feelings as you approach a new technique. The first step away from your old process is the hardest. Take control and get more from your workout time!

  1. I feel like every few weeks or month we need to switch up our routine. Not only will it help make it less boring, but it will shock our body and give us better results. Great post and keep up the awesome work 🙂
